جلسة نقاشية حول قانون حق الحصول على المعلومة

شاركت الحقوقية ثناء الكناني، نائب رئيس جمعية خير النساء للإغاثة والتنمية، في الجلسة النقاشية حول تشريع قانون حق الحصول على المعلومة، التي نظمتها منظمة برج بابل للتطوير الإعلامي والمفوضية العليا لحقوق الإنسان، وذلك في مقر المفوضية بالعاصمة بغداد، بحضور عدد من السادة النواب، وممثلي منظمات المجتمع المدني، والصحفيين.

ناقش المشاركون الدور الحيوي لهذا القانون في تعزيز الشفافية وترسيخ مبادئ الديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان، مؤكدين على ضرورة تشريعه بما يلبي تطلعات المجتمع ويكفل حق المواطنين في الوصول إلى المعلومات بحرية.

ويشكل إقرار هذا القانون خطوة مهمة نحو تعزيز الانفتاح الحكومي، وبناء جسور الثقة بين المواطنين ومؤسسات الدولة، من خلال تعاون مشترك بين الجهات المعنية لضمان تنفيذه بفاعلية.

Thanaa Al-Kinani, Vice President of the Khair Al-Nisa Association for Relief and Development, participated in a panel discussion on the enactment of the Right to Access Information Law. The session was organized by Burj Babel for Media Development and the High Commission for Human Rights at the commission’s headquarters in Baghdad, with the presence of several parliament members, civil society representatives, and journalists.

The participants emphasized the crucial role of this law in promoting transparency, strengthening democratic principles and human rights, and ensuring citizens’ right to access information freely. They also stressed the importance of enacting the law in a way that meets societal aspirations and enhances public access to information.

Passing this law represents a significant step toward greater governmental openness and building trust between citizens and state institutions. Achieving this goal requires joint efforts from all relevant entities to ensure its effective implementation.
